On my way to Vivocity to meet Edison for dinner, I met Gabriel from adults in the train. He was my multimedia minstry head last time. Had quite a great chat with him over issues in adults. We are having a male gender crisis! I am very convicted to win more males into the kingdom. Our sisters serve very hard in the church and they shouldn't be short-changed amen? Haha! Hold on sisters! More spiritual guys will be available soon because we are in the NS ministry! Committed to build strong guys leaders for God. My group got quite a few eh, Edison, Ephraim and ME MYSELF and I. Richard also not bad, but too bad he is taken. Haha!
I had a great time spent with Edison over at Vivocity. Pampered myself a little. Bought this knitted top from Pull and Bear. The weather is getting cold. After dinner Edison and I went over to Bakerzin to have shepherding. Edison ordered Warm Chocolate Cake for himself and I ordered Cookies and Cream Cheesecake. Simply Irresistable. I still prefer his to mine.
I shared a teaching on Recipe for Spiritual Growth and we both learnt much. It is time for us to open up our spiritual eyes to see things differently. It is time for us to hunger for spiritual encounters. It is time for us to have a spiritual awakening. We are spiritual being therefore we should seek for spiritual things.
15 When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. "Oh, my lord, what shall we do?" the servant asked.
16 "Don't be afraid," the prophet answered. "Those who are with us are more than those who are with them."
17 And Elisha prayed, "O LORD, open his eyes so he may see." Then the LORD opened the servant's eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
We need to be like Elisha who doesn't look at the difficult and threatening situations. We need to tap on God's divine power and fight from victory. We have the whole army of God with us. If we get this right, the way we approach ministry and the way we shepherd our sheep will be very different because God promises victories and hope.
I am very excited of what God will do in the hearts of my cg members later in the evening. We will be having a combine caregroup meet at Edison's house. Move in the hearts of your people now Lord even when they are resting. Holy Spirit moves!
All of a sudden comes so many girls in my group. Was thinking what is the best plan for them and how to help them. Though I am not a girl but I know that they are precious soul to God too and they are lovely. Helppppppppp!
Met Alina yesterday morning for breakfast at Ang Mo Kio drive-thru mac to catch up. Nothing beats the $2.50 value set! My core team and I are on a saving project so that the caregroup can be blessed much more. Especially those with financial needs. We learnt about Grace and probably the question to ourselves is, how much so we really understand God's grace? This lesson was taught by Nel to me years ago and it totally change my life. If we truely understand God's grace the way we live our life, the things we say, the actions that we do and the decisions that we made will no longer be the same. It does not come easy and isn't it true that sometimes we really take things for granted?
Well, why $2.50 meal? Weeks ago I witnessed 2 shabily dressed foreign workers who never been to mac before ordered only 2 normal burgers and a small coke to share. I felt so.. blessed.
Oh yar! Things are happening! Revival is here! Junhao, Fei and Baoren are slowly connecting to Richard's side! Kimberly is coming for service this weekend! Jianfeng is working with Maymay to bring Wilson in! Ephraim has a very possible contact which is coming for service soon! Zhongsheng (New-believer) is going to share Christ to his friend! Kenneth is getting connected to the caregroup! And more and more and more!!
Going to have lunch with Cheryl at Tanjong Pagar, Amara Hotel! Woo! She says the curry chicken there is nice. Ciao!
This is Cheryl, my beloved! Did I just say beloved? I will never deny her! DON'T FORCE ME!
God never never fails to answer our prayer. First, we hit our goal of 11 the last quarter and this quarter we hit our goal of 19! We even broke it with 20!! This is one of the best testimony I had for last week as I see how God pours in when the caregroup are all ready to contain and to love His people.
Last friday I really had a great time at Alina's house with my core team to discuss the caregroup plans and strategies for the next quarter. The meeting lasted from 1am to 7.30am the next morning. We had a lot of input and everyone contributes. I challenge each and everyone of them to use their talents and giftings to serve the caregroup. It will be so so so sooo powerful! Imagine each of us has different giftings, how wholesome and dynamic the caregroup can be.
After the super fun and entertaining caregroup on Sunday, I went down to Tiong Bahru having the intention to celebrate our dear brother Benson's birthday with Lennon and Kehan. Well, he didn't turned up in the end. Had a fun time crapping with Lennon and Kehan at Sakae Sushi. We got a real special discount. Shall not disclose. Haha!
My prayer now is that i will do well for my exam and that the group will grow from glory to glory. Nel, you can have your 26 pratas soon!
Last night was officially the start of my training for Standard Chartered Marathon. It has been a long time since I really let my sweat out. I love jogging alone because it makes me not compete with others, but myself. I was reminded of what the Bible wrote, that we have to complete the race that God has specifically design for us and not be out of the race. Running alone is challenging because no one is there for you to pace or encourage you. If we don't keep track of our own pace, soon we will find ourselves in a cruising mode in life. Hungry cab drivers were everywhere on the street waiting to devour me. I love fighting against complacency and pushing myself towards my destination. But I admit I need to slap myself because I stopped for 10 seconds for a kitten!! The worst is it ignored me. - . -
Planted my flag at Ang Mo Kio MRT station and began jogging back. My old injury came and I had to drag my right leg for a good distance of 100 metres before God took the pain away. He must be saying, "Son, don't give up!" It really makes a difference when God spurs you on. My journey back was faster than my jouney there.
Home (Toa Payoh) to Ang Mo Kio: 29 minutes 23 seconds
Ang Mo Kio to Home: 26 minutes
Though the timing isn't that fantastic, I will continue to run! Never be out of race.
I can't sleep because it just feel like God has poured his version of Tobasco in my heart. I just want to tell God how much I love him and need him. I want to be still and know that you are God.
When we walk right with God, things will naturally happen. We don't have to really pray for converts because I'm pretty sure that God loves people more than we do. What we need to do is to prepare ourselves and make sure we are ready to take care of those lost sheep that are to come. The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.
Over the past 2 months, I've seen the tremendous patience, boundless grace, and bottomless mercy God has for me. LOL.
First Edison came to know Christ and he brought Alina in. The week after I've received news that ED's dad came to receive Christ too! ED & Richard later brought another of their friend Yanda in and last week Kenneth brought Aaron in. Just yesterday, I received news from ED and Alina that Zijian & Rayson is crossing their line of faith soon! When God works, he really works. It is really about walking right with God.
I am glad that ED and Alina have grown so much too. It just feels uber good to be with them. Oh, did I mention that ED has incredible built? Arnold Schwarzenegger look-alike. Please show some interest in his rock collection next time you see him. Alina is very entertaining. She smiles great.
There are many things that I need to trust God in and tackle too. Many major decisions to make and problems to solve. Sometimes it is just overwhelming to know too many things and I guess the only solution is to talk to God.
Livejournal is really testing my patience, took 10 minutes to get into the "post an entry" page.
Saturday was a very very enjoyable and impactful day. Went for Zeph's company family outing event at Singapore Flyer early in the morning. I was half-awake when I reached City Hall MRT. It was 7.30am! Zeph's dad drove us to Singapore Flyer with his newly purchased BMW! Most of its functions are automated and... I would love to get one too. Please God.... Wahaha!
Kokhow, Peiqi, Zeph & I had lots of fun. We went around trying all the stuff at the "mini carnival" and took gigabytes of photos. It was my first time riding on Singapore Flyer and the experience was wonderful, but I won't go for the second time if I have to pay. Haha. We end off the morning with a free buffet at one of the restaurant there. Thanks for the invitation Miss. Lau!!
I went home immediately to take a 30 minutes power nap to restore my energy for service. I was filled with anticipation on how God is going to move in the service everytime I serve on stage. Worship is such a power element where people's lives get changed when Holy Spirit visits. We need to claim God's victory over every single area of our lives and ministers to the people as musicians.
Hope Bangkok's worship team came too to evaluate our p&w. They are our role models and they are people who are very close to our heart. Band 1 loves you!
God has been working evidently in my group these few weeks. 2 weeks ago, Edison came to know God. Last week, Edison brought his friend, Alina to service and she came to know God too. Next week Alina is going to bring her friend and Richard is going to bring his another friend too. It is so powerful when God works.
My heart desire is to see the broken-hearted find their hope in God.
God, use me.
