Finally I am back! Quite a bit of dust here.. blow*

Well, if you have not know, I am now in a totally new & exciting ministry., the DI ministry!! I am super uber excited for this ministry because I really think that God has a great plan for the ITE people. I see potential in many of our members and also see how this ministry is going to develop to impact the KOG. Great things are going to happen soon, just wait and see. Haha.

Well today is a very fruitful day. A day of meetings and more meetings. Went for lunch with Hong Siong at NYP. We had a great chat about ministry and I got to know him more! I really thank God for his commitment to this ministry and his conviction to stay to make a difference in DI. He is studying in NYP, he needs to work and yet he is willing to sacrifice his time for a greater cause. He is humble and is making effort to change and improve himself. Such is a person who loves God and wants to honour Him. I am looking forward to breaking milestones with you Hong Siong! =D

Met Edison after that at NYP Gloria Jean after that to discuss on our business concept. The more we discuss the more excited I am. I am sure our business is going to be successful and bless many people in and outside of church. God use us pleaseee!

Went to Chua Chu Kang ITE to read my newspaper at 5pm. Yes, read newspaper. Haha. From now on I am going to do my everything at ITEs. To do my reading there, to plan there, to read newspaper there, to eat there, to go toilet there and meet people there. It shall be my second home and I am going to claim the land that God is giving to us. I shall first set my foot on there. Waited for Leonard to finish his class at 6pm and I had the privilege to have a short catch up with him. Found out from him how is his first few days in school so far and what does he want to do in future. Woo this guy is very ambitious and determine. Was somehow encourage by his desire to improve his GPA and go into Lasalle to study on sound engineering. Wonderful! I think Joycelyn will be super happy to hear this. Haha, I have a talent in my group. ^^ We continued our chat on personal leadership and I challenged him to go out of his comfort zone to know more people and talk to people that he may not know well. This shows our maturity and our love for people, in and out of the church. Of course, he is very receptive and I see so much potential in him. Hoho, shall start pushing him next time. Be ready man. Wahaha!

I ended my day with a dinner with my shepherd Jeremiah at Yishun. Went to the famous chicken rice stall to settle our dinner. As usual, my ever encouraging shepherd will always empower me, encourage me and give me my morale booster. Haha. I want to thank God for placing such a person in my life who really take care of all the aspects of my life. Jy Jeremiah!

Well, I know this is a long entry. But I want to take time to note down all the incredible things that God is doing in my life every now and then and I never want to forget the goodness of Him. :) Ciao!

Welcome Jey into our Team!
[info]debirth85
Had a wonderful dmm at Paradiz Central Restaurant today!! Eilton couldn't make it because of OT and so only left with Edison, Jey and I. Yes, we have a new member who joined in this die hard team! Jey just transferred over from NSB to our unit. Jey, I promise you victory in God!! Today's dmm is a light one because I just want the team to know one another more and have more fellowship. We were laughing like mad in the cafe when jey shared with us his days in DI, under abigail's leadership. WAHAHAHA! I know all the moments. I really want to build a team of strong guys that love one another and that starts from myself.

Anyway, God is good!! He blessed my company with another business!! Later Edison and I are going down to the company to discuss with them. Do help us pray for a good deal k? Goodnight!

An Eventful Week!
[info]debirth85
Last week was a spiritual awakening week for me. I am so convinced that we must always fellowship, love and flow along with the Holy Spirit in our daily life. So I began by getting along my disciples to share Christ to their contact, Robin after dinner on Wednesday evening. I wouldn't want to wait till service day because I know that God is with us every moment, not just during service. It was quite a long sharing with Robin and after sharing to him what God wants to speak to him, he finally accepted Jesus over at Centerpoint TCC!! PTL!

Next, on friday as usual, the whole NS district will have GATO at Temasek Poly. I wanted to change the whole way of how GATO is to run because I find that we have not been reaping for months. While the rest are still playing basketball and soccer, I texted Ben to come down to TP to share Christ with me. The last time we shared at TP, the first person Ben and I shared to converted. This time round we were expecting God to move in a big way too. When he arrived, we went to a corner to pray and to ask God to sit in during our sharing. We were really nervous!! We started with the ITAS Block and when we walked halfway down the block, we still see no one. Ben then suggested that we should turn around and try else where. At that moment I got a prompting by the HS to go further down ahead. So I told Ben that since we already walked halfway lets make sure that there is really no one. Ben commented that "You really leave no stones unturned".

Indeed it was true! When we proceeded further down to the IT Block, we turned our head to the left and we were quite shock to find a lady sitting at the bench studying. Haha. At that point of time we were really really really nervous!! Should we go or just find someone else? We took a sit somewhere distanced from the lady and began to discuss on the strategy and conversation. Lol. It was really a joke between both of us. We were so nervous to the point that we began to ask silly question like, "have you tied your shoe laces?". In the end, we just hack and approach the person. LOL.

To cut the long story short, the lady (Yenn) was actually a backslider from hope. She was from Yhope last time and hasn't been attending church for quite some time. She knows Lestari & Jane Joy!!  Hoho! Yenn was sharing with us how she missed those days of caregroup, outreach and ministry. We knew God has led us to her and I told her that! Ben and I prayed for her and invited her for service. She asked for the service timing and said that she will contact me when she is coming!! Rejoice!! So cool!

On Saturday,

After L4D-ing with Jeremiah, Jeremy, Kaien & some TP sisters on Saturday after dinner, we went to join bedok princess and the rest over at Apls Cafe opposite paradiz. It is a great place to chill with comfortable seats and nice music. You can even KTV there! Talking about KTV there are some really great singers like ME, Jenny, Lancaster, Jorris and blar blar blar. Not to mention the worship leaders la. Lancaster is the most shocking one! His voice is like Oh My Tian, Ah Du. Very dreamy~ Miss Jenny is as usual, sings great and like know almost any and every songs. She should take part in Wo Yao (Sing) Xia Qu. LOL! Great people, great leaders, great friends! I simply love this church!

Going for A-Team gala movie screening with Robin later! I will let you guys know if it is nice?! DON'T BE JEALOUS!

Lesson on Integrity
[info]debirth85
 Hey NSC guys,

I asked your leaders to get you to read this post because I thought that this lesson is so valuable and beneficial to us.

I wanted to share with us an incident on integrity. The story goes (please enjoy, haha!).

On the morning of camp when we were told to pack our barang barang and check out, I was called into Edison's room to witness an earthquake aftermath. Lol! Shockingly, one of the bed frame was damaged (a bit more to collapsing if Kiu was to sit on it). It all happens because our macho guys had some WWE session and tau pao session the night before on the bed. I won't blame them because I know that I will join in the fun if I am there. Haha! After looking at the damage, I told Edison that I will report the damage.

However after the breakfast and rushing some stuff, I totally forgotten about letting Zejun (accomodation I/C) know about the situation. It was until when Edison called me during noon to break me another news. The management says that we have to pay for the damage of Edison's room door. It was chipped. WHATTT?!? They didn't find out about the bed and now they find fault with the door? I asked Edison and those staying in the room about it but they say they didn't do it. I know they didn't because if they did, they will admit.

So, we wanted to go down to take a look at the door damage. Our stand is, if we didn't damage the door, we won't pay for it. Now, what about the bed, Edison & Ephraim asked me. I took some time to think about it and reasoned with God. I concluded and I told them, "Guys, we will not pay for the door, but we will report the damage of the bed and pay for the bed." I continued saying that it won't be fair for the next person who is going to stay in the chalet. They may have to pay for the damage if discovered. It is not pleasing to God. So 3 of us agred and we met Zejun up and made our way to meet the incharge. The person was not there, and I got Zejun to call Jimmy (the management staff who is incharge of all our rooms booking).

After talking to Jimmy for quite awhile.. She put down the phone and told us, "It is not the door frame that is chipped, it is the bed frame." At the point of the I was soooo glad. Because we made the right decison. God is testing us and we PASSED!

I will be glad to share the amount we have to pay but I know that such lesson can never be bought by money. Thank you God!

Guys, let us learn to be a man of integrity in our life!

Music practise yesterday was simply amazing. Though very tired physically, but we had fun playing around with the songs! The practising part is mad, all in all I have to practise 25-30 songs. Going Crazyyy!! Seed 2010 Praise & Worship Night is going to be fun I promise you!! We are going to break bondages and shake hell!

Recently I am on a book titled, 'The Presentation Secrets of Steve Jobs - How to Be Insanely Great in Front of Any Audience'. Steve Jobs is one of the greatest presenter in the world. If you are still clueless who is Steve Jobs, he is the CEO of Apple. Yes! The iPhone and Macbook that you have! No wonder Apple is winning over the phone and computer industry. In order to win people over, we need to know how to market our products and package it well.

"A person can have the greatest idea in the world - completely different and novel - but if that person can't convince enough other people, it doesn't matter." - Gregory Berns

Isn't that so true?

I 'heart' Orchard Road Presbyterian Church's banner. Awesome! Creative and BIG!

Went for my stage 4 baking class this afternoon. Learnt 2 new pastries today, Mocha Fudge Cake & White Fruit Cake. Coffee lovers you will love this. The taste is fabulous~ uber yummy!

Going jogging with Jeremy Kiu tomorrow night. Haha! The jaw dropping part is, HE INITIATED!! I am getting to love this guy more and more.

Ephraim blessed me with a nice hat. Thank you sheepie, I felt loved..

Lastly, I want a dog.

Privilege
[info]debirth85
I went for 'Straight Talk about Homosexuality' seminar on Tuesday and yesterday and I learnt so much. (I am straight incase you are wondering.) This seminar is so relevant and interesting and it definitely will help us not just to tackle the issue on homosexuality, but more importantly on preventing it by showing appropriate love, care and concern for one another. My church is so great, always providing us with mountains of resources and value-adding to us. Don't you love your church? Haha.

And of course, when I am giving my fullest attention to the speakers and trying to download as much as I could, there is one lame person around me playing with her iPhone apps. Very disturbing!

I know what you are thinking! But I am not the lamer. Please look carefully at where the arrow points. LOL! Jen took the photo.

While gaining much, I lose the chance to go for the Charity Gala Premier of Jack Neo's latest movie 'Bring Human Bring'. It crashed with the seminar. Gotten 5 tickets from Hope Centre for that and wanted to bless the UAs and thank them for their hardwork and diligence in serving as an administrator. Most couldn't make it so I passed the rest of the tickets to my unit's guys. I heard that Jack Neo and the Jteam went too!! If I am there I will sure want a photo with him and hoping that he will sign me. Hoho.

it is obvious that Zhongsheng is at the wrong place.

Vivian Goh, one of my best administrator! Super diligent, super efficient, super loyal!

Met Ephraim for a quick catch up before the seminar. It was a great time spent, knowing the updates of your life and also knowing how you are fighting strongly and persevering in this thousand miles journey. I learnt the never-give-up spirit from you and I know your determination will eventually bring you towards God's perfect will in your life. I just want to let you know that I am really proud of you when I look at how much you have gone through and how you desire to overcome each and every obstacles in your life. I always trust you.

I sense that Holy Spirit is stirring something in my heart recently and I am excited. Haha!

Arrivederci!

1 Corinthians 13:4-8, LOVE!
[info]debirth85
Salve!

I had a fun time eating steamboat with our church mates last Sunday at Bugis. It is just across Bugis Junction next to Top One KTV. I felt bloated because I was continuously served by Andrew, Priscilla and not to mention Cannie (she enjoys putting food on my plate till I have to use my chopsticks to form a cross as a sign of restricted area when I  go and refill my cup.) Such is the servanthood spirit of our church sisters! I concluded that when it comes to bbq steamboat, girls like to cook and guys like to eat. Isn't that perfect? Haha!

My day did not end just yet. After steamboat, I dropped by Randall's house area wanting to collect our business receipts from her so that I could do the accounts. I got so happy when she presented me with a slice of cheesecake from Hilton Hotel. Man, the cake tastes superb. The top is covered with apricot gel and it gives a peachy taste to the cheesecake. Thank you for this lovely gift my wonderful business partner! I wish you all the best in your church planting in future, in your current ministry and also hope that you will find a perfect partner who will add to you and love God together with you. Don't worry too much. You are younger than me. Take your time. Lol!

Went to watch Dear John with Jolene, Zejun and Leanne today. It wasn't as nice as I thought it would be. Probably because I am a guy ba.. don't understand why Meihwa and bunny will tear.. Opps.. Thank God we only spent $6 each watching it. Cheers to Tivona's UOB Credit Card! Before the movie, Zejun and Jolene were meeting Leanne to discuss ministry and I met Jenny, her sister and Nel for dinner at The Cathay. Jenny and Nel went to watch the movie 'Nine' at 7.45pm and their advise, DON'T WATCH! Haha! Great to have people watching the movie before you first hur. Anyway, I borrowed a book from Nel to read while waiting for my movie partners to come. The book is by Max Lucado titled 'A Love Worth Giving'. I spent 2 hours reading the first 7 chapters of it. Cool book and it is a must read for all who want to know more about God's love!

Indeed it is so true when I tried to substitute the word love with my name. It is so not me and it makes me wanna puke.

Donald is patient, Donald is kind. He does not envy, he does not boast, he is not proud. He is not rude, he is not self-seeking, he is not easily angered, he keeps no record of wrongs. Donald does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. He always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

But when adding Jesus into it, it is so true.

Jesus is patient, Jesus is kind. He does not envy, he does not boast, he is not proud. He is not rude, he is not self-seeking, he is not easily angered, he keeps no record of wrongs. Jesus does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. He always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

The truth is that we can't love until we understand and receive the love of God. Receive first and love second.

Ciao!

My Great Big God
[info]debirth85
Lunch yesterday was great. Went to Paragon for my sister's birthday lunch at Bakerzin. They serve main courses and desserts. Didn't really like my seafood pasta though.. I thought that it tasted weird.  The desserts were great, very chocolaty. I introduced my mum and sister my cute friend Carl and they love it! Haha! My mum even made it say Canto.. Lol! Really cute.

Those who never gotten a chance to see Donald's sister before you have the privilege now! Many say that we look so much alike..

Went to TP for Soccer in the evening. Ran into Amanda on the way at business school and said hi. Most of the TP members are having the caregroup yesterday and I know that their exams are over. FREEDOM yea?!! I so miss my students' days in TP! The GATO team managed to build deeper bonds with our contacts during the soccer. I believe that we will penetrate into the TP ground deeper as long as we persevere and use the correct strategy. Nothing is impossible. So far all has been going well but well is not enough for my Big God. It must be super super super great because He deserves the Best.

On the way back home in Jovin's car, we were both captivated by the song I'm not ashamed by Free Chapel. It just reminded us of King David and the connection with God. Please listen to the song!!

Love you God.

iPhone rox!
[info]debirth85

Tada!! I love my new iPhone! My Dad bought me that and I was really touched. He will never fail to provide me and give me the best.

I thought that Meihwa looked really pretty on the front page of Chick Magazine and Dennis too, with the seductive look! Wee u wee! Shirley always looks photogenic as usual.

Recently I was hard up on ID-ing and I met up a lot of my ground members to impact and impart into their lives. I asked them to evaluate the leaders as well so that we can improve and lead the caregroup better. Discipleship is really important if we want to build strong people.

Well, I would like to end this entry by affirming my sheep Zhongsheng. Hey bro, I am really so amaze by how much you have grown and change in your Attitude, Character and Spirit. You have grown to become more serving, more Godly, more teachable and more joyful. I am really proud of you and I am sure God is super proud of you too!!  I see the potential in you and I know that God is going to use you greatly. Be a good support to your caregroup and be faithful to what God has given you. You are more than conqueror! Gambattae!
